QTS Tutor

Blyth - KS2 - KS4 (English and Maths)

Prospero Teaching is looking for Qualified QTS and HLTA tutors based in Blyth to provide 1:1 and small-group tuition in English and Maths for students across KS2-KS4.

You will deliver tailored sessions to support students with a range of SEN and SEMH needs, helping them build confidence, re-engage with learning and, where appropriate, reintegrate into a school setting.

Many of the students we support have experienced disruption to their education and require a personalised, flexible approach. Your experience and ability to adapt your teaching will be key to helping each learner overcome barriers, achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Blyth (within the community or students' home)
  • Position - Tutor
  • Start date -October 2026
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Until the student finds a suitable school placement
  • End date (if applicable) - Ongoing
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on your availability
  • Rate of pay - up to GBP 30 per hour
  • Hours - Working hours can differentiate, up to 15 hours per week, per student

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • QTS, QTLS or HLTA qualifications
  • 6 months+ experience working in a UK school

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
