We are seeking an inspiring and committed Head of Art / Art Teacher to join our creative faculty at a thriving Further Education College in Norwich, Norfolk. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to shape and lead the Art Provision, or for an excellent Art Teacher ready to take the next step in their career.

Depending on experience, the successful candidate will either:

  • Lead and develop the Art curriculum across FE programmes,
  • Deliver high-quality Art teaching while contributing to the wider development of the department.

You will teach and support learners across a range of FE qualifications, fostering creativity, curiosity, and technical skill while helping students progress to higher education, apprenticeships, or creative careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Art lessons to FE students
  • Plan, assess, and monitor learner progress in line with awarding body requirements
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities (For Head of Art)
  • Lead, mentor, and support other Art staff
  • Promote high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Support learners' pastoral, academic, and creative development

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a relevant degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related subject
  • Has teaching experience within FE, secondary, or post-16 education
  • Is passionate about creative education and student success
  • Has strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching (For leadership applicants)
  • Has experience or aspirations to lead a curriculum area
  • A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is essential.
