Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic SENDCO to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Primary Schools in Newcastle from November on a full-time and long-term basis. About the Role:
Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
Identify, assess and monitor pupils with SEND.
Support teachers with differentiation and inclusive practice.
Work closely with parents, staff and external agencies.
Manage and review EHCPs and intervention plans.
Track pupil progress and evaluate support strategies.
Promote high aspirations and positive outcomes for SEND pupils.
Provide guidance and training for school staff.
Ensure compliance with SEND policies and procedures.
Champion inclusion and pupil wellbeing throughout the school.
About the School:
The role is based in an inspirational Primary School in Newcastle.
You would be supporting staff and students across the school from EYFS to Year 6.
The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
Pay - Between £(Apply online only) per day
Hours -
Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027. Temporary Contract.
Start Date - 2nd November
Location - Newcastle
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
Previous SENCO experience and SENCO qualification.
Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work
Experience of working in schools within the UK
A genuine passion for supporting students.
Strong organisation and communication skills
