Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Religious Education Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational Secondary Schools on a full-time and long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the Role:
- The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allow all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
- Stretching and challenging the learning and progress of all pupils.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
- Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner.
- Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and learning styles of all pupils.
- Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress.
- Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
About the School:
- The role is based in an inspirational Secondary School in Newcastle.
- The role is based at an All Boys School.
- The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team to provide an outstanding education for pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay – Between £130-200 per day.
- Contract – Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
- Start Date – ASAP.
- Location – Newcastle.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
- An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you).
- QTS and Secondary School Teaching experience within the UK.
- A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy or a related field.
- Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress.
- Strong subject knowledge.
- Ability to teach up to KS5.
- Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport.
- A positive and resilient attitude towards Teaching and work.
- Experience of Teaching within the UK.
- A genuine passion for Teaching.
