We're looking for an ASD & ADHD Tutor! Prospero Teaching is on the hunt for an experienced and compassionate tutor to support young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). These students are currently not attending school, and we're seeking someone who can deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to meet their individual needs.

As an ASD & ADHD Tutor, your role will be to design and deliver bespoke educational packages that cater to each student's unique learning style. Your focus will be on bridging learning gaps, boosting self-confidence, and helping students re-engage with education. The ideal candidate will be someone who is excited to move away from traditional classroom settings and who enjoys creating personalised, impactful learning experiences. Many of the students you'll work with have been out of education for a while, and some may be waiting for a permanent school placement. Your role will be vital in providing structure, emotional support, and the necessary academic input during this important transitional period.

Key Details

  • Location: Byker
  • Position: ASD & ADHD Tutor
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract: Part-time (10-15 hours per week)
  • Pay: GBP25 - GBP30 per hour
  • Hours: Flexible, ranging from 1 to 3 hours per session

We are Looking For

  • Qualifications: You'll need QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: You should have at least 6 months experience working in a UK school, ideally supporting students with ASD, ADHD, or other neurodiverse needs.
  • Desirable: While not essential, up-to-date Safeguarding training or experience with personal care would be beneficial.
