Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a dedicated SEND Tutor to provide personalised educational support across Sefton!
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for experienced tutors, teachers and mentors to work with children and young people who require additional support with their education.
You'll provide individualised 1:1 tuition, adapting your sessions around the learner's needs and helping them develop academically, socially and personally.
The ideal candidate will be confident working with learners who may have experienced barriers to education and will be able to create a calm, supportive and engaging learning environment.

Location: Sefton
Position: SEND Tutor
Hours: 5-15 hours per week
Start Date: September 2026
Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
Teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience
Experience supporting SEMH, Autism, ADHD or other additional needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
QTS or equivalent desirable
Patient and adaptable approach to learning
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update xgikmsk Service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child-related references
