The role:

  • Deliver 1 hour per week of Functional Skills Maths (Level 1)
  • Deliver 1 hour per week of GCSE English
  • Plan engaging, structured sessions adapted to the student\’s needs
  • Provide patient, encouraging, and consistent support
  • Track progress and feedback to Prospero Teaching as required

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a recognised teaching or tutoring qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
  • Have experience delivering Functional Skills Maths and/or GCSE English
  • Be confident supporting post-16 learners
  • Be reliable, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
