Job description

Prospero teaching are working on behalf of a large secondary school in the heart of Cardiff and are looking for a dedicated and passionate Maths Teachers to support Key stage 3 and Key stage ideal candidate will be familiar with WJEC specification and have experience working with a rang of abilities.

This position will be working full time initially, with hours ranging from 8-4. However the hours may change slightly, for example from

You will be required to become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. You will also be required to mark the work and provide feedback along the way.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in Mathematics (however, it is not essential that it is Maths related)
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, , QTS, etc) in Maths
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of
Provide a minimum of two professional references
