Key Responsibilities

  • Classroom Support: Assist in lessons to help maintain engagement and promote learning.
  • Class Cover: Confidently manage the classroom in the teacher's absence, ensuring a positive and productive environment.
  • Interventions: Lead both small- and large-group sessions to boost progress in literacy and numeracy.
  • Behaviour Management: Apply effective strategies to encourage positive behaviour and maintain a safe, supportive atmosphere.
  • Individual Support: Provide targeted assistance to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student progress.
  • Safeguarding: Follow safeguarding policies to ensure the well-being of all pupils.

  • Position: Teaching Assistant
  • Contract Type: Long-term (ongoing)
  • Start Date: November 2024
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:20 AM - 3:45 PM
  • Rate of Pay: From Β£95.29 per day

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification: Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 weeks working in a UK school setting.
  • Training: Up-to-date safeguarding training is desirable (training can be provided).

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Two professional references from educational settings
