We are looking for a QTS SEN Tutor to join our team in the Wythenshawe area of South Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and those working below expected levels. If you are a qualified teacher with a passion for supporting students with additional needs, this could be the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one GCSE Maths and English lessons, tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.
- Adapt lesson plans and teaching strategies to support emotional regulation and diverse learning styles.
- Help students develop their subject knowledge, improve study skills, and build exam confidence.
- Establish a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment through a consistent student-teacher rapport.
- Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to parents, carers, or professionals as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring in Maths or English.
- Experience working with SEN students in a one-to-one or small group setting.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one).
Desirable Qualifications:
- PGCE in Secondary Education.
- Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
