Are you a dedicated and resilient Maths teacher looking for your next opportunity? We are working with a school in South Manchester to recruit a Maths Curriculum Lead from September 2026. The school is a Pupil Referral Unit, supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will be managing the Maths department for all sites.

As a Maths Curriculum Lead, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to pupils
  • Work alongside other teachers and the SEN team to identify barriers and plan accordingly
  • Build rapport and provide pastoral support to pupils

What we are looking for:

  • An excellent understanding of the National Curriculum
  • Previous experience teaching GCSE maths, preferably within a SEMH setting
  • Experience planning, leading and teaching
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential for this position
  • Passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential

  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to apply)
  • Be able to provide two professional child-related references
