About the School:
We are recruiting for a confident Level 3 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH provision in Manchester, supporting secondary-aged pupils. The school offers an alternative to mainstream education for learners who need consistency, emotional support and strong relationships to thrive.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis, offering both emotional and academic support
- Confidently lead and manage classrooms
- Deliver engaging, tailored lesson plans
- Maintain regular communication with other staff members and third party agencies to monitor progress
What we are looking for:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant/Mentor in a similar PRU or SEMH setting
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Previous experience delivering lesson plans
To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
