Job description

Key Responsibilities

Pupil Support

  • Support pupils with a range of needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), learning difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

  • Work with individuals or small groups to support learning, communication, and personal development.

  • Assist pupils with personal care, mobility, and medical needs where required, in line with school policies and training.

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation using agreed strategies and behaviour support plans.

  • Learning Support

  • Support the delivery of tailored learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.

  • Adapt resources and activities to meet individual pupil needs.

  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence.

  • Support pupils during lessons, therapy sessions, break times, and school activities.

  • Monitoring & Recording

  • Observe and monitor pupil progress and behaviour.

  • Provide feedback to teachers and contribute to reviews, Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and reports as required.

  • Maintain accurate records in line with school procedures
