Prospero Teaching is looking for a SEND Outreach Tutor in Haringey. As a SEND Outreach Tutor, you will deliver personalised, 1:1 learning programmes to children and young people in Haringey who are currently unable to attend school. Many of these learners have additional needs, including SEND, SEMH, anxiety, or long-term disengagement from education.

Your role is to plan, deliver and adapt bespoke sessions that rebuild confidence, close learning gaps, and reintroduce structure into each pupil's daily routine. This position is ideal for an experienced educator who wants to step away from the traditional classroom and focus on meaningful, relationship-based teaching.

You will work closely with Prospero Teaching to track progress, set achievable goals, and ensure each learner receives high-quality, consistent support.

  • Type of work - 1:1 tuition (in-person)
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Duration - Varies depending on pupil needs

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in a UK school or SEND setting
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training (desirable)

REQUIREMENTS TO WORK WITH PROSPERO TEACHING

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two recent, child-related professional references
