About the role
You will teach Geography, helping students explore physical and human environments while developing analytical and investigative skills. Lessons are pre-planned, able to be adapted optionally for the first 4-weeks of term and then a hybrid-schedule of Geography teaching and general cover across the school.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Geography lessons
- Promote global awareness
- Assess student progress effectively
- Support fieldwork where applicable
- Promote STEM Careers in Geography based fields
- Occasionally cover subjects across the school
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
- Strong Geography knowledge
- Previous experience teaching KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to adapt and reflect on lesson plans provided
- Geography or Humanities based university degree
- Range of teaching experience
