Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated GCSE Maths and English Tutor to work with students across Buckinghamshire who are looking for additional support to enhance their academic performance in these core subjects.

As a GCSE Maths and English Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering bespoke 1:1 lessons designed to address the specific needs of each student. Your role will involve developing tailored lesson plans that focus on building foundational skills, improving confidence, and preparing students for their upcoming GCSE exams. You will work closely with students to help them understand complex concepts, boost their grades, and increase their overall engagement with these subjects.

This position is ideal for an experienced tutor or teacher with a passion for helping students succeed in their GCSEs. Many of the students you will work with may have gaps in their knowledge or need extra help to build confidence, so your role will be crucial in providing structured, clear lessons that help them reach their potential.

Prospero Teaching will provide ongoing support to ensure the progress of your students, offering guidance to ensure you deliver effective learning experiences.

  • Full time/part time - Flexible
  • Minimum rate of pay - £25 per hour
  • Hours - Flexible working hours, with a minimum of 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • SQTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent
  • 6 months+ experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Maths and English
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child‐related references covering the last two years
