As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth running of the setting. You will help lead the team, maintain high standards of care and education, and ensure children receive a safe, nurturing, and stimulating early years experience in line with the EYFS framework.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Nursery Manager with the daily operation of the setting.
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver high-quality early years provision.
- Support staff supervision, mentoring, and professional development.
- Ensure EYFS, safeguarding, health, and safety standards are met.
- Oversee planning, observations, and assessments across the setting.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and external professionals.
- Step into the Manager role when required.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (Level 5 desirable).
- Experience in a senior nursery role (e.g. Room Leader or Deputy Manager).
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
- Confident leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A calm, supportive, and professional approach.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
