Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Pastoral Manager to lead the overview of students' attendance for an identified cohort with a view to continual improvement and the removal of barriers.

Pastoral Manager

Location: Liverpool, L19

Type of work: Long term

Start date: As soon as possible

Full time/part time: Full time

Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

  • Work with the AHT (Attendance & Admissions) and other pastoral staff to ensure the implementation of the attendance and punctuality strategy.
  • Ensure a smooth day-to-day operation of attendance and absence monitoring for a specific cohort of students.
  • Complete Home Visit welfare checks for students with flagging attendance concerns.
  • Undertake regular student voice activities and take necessary action on feedback.
  • Ensure all students display positive behaviour and learning behaviours.
  • Contribute to effective operational activities, including attendance at meetings, events and activities as required.
  • Lead, support and encourage the highest possible standards of behaviour, learning, attainment and achievement.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of absence interventions in place to support students across the identified cohort.
  • Liaise, as appropriate, with internal / external stakeholders and outside agencies.
  • Promote parent / carers engagement with regards to positive attendance amongst the identified cohort.

To be eligible

  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide at least two professional references covering at least 24 months / covering the last two years.
