Prospero Teaching are recruiting a passionate and committed KS3/4 Maths Teacher to support secondary schools across the Wirral from February 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths specialist who enjoys delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils to build confidence and strong numeracy skills across KS3 and KS4.

The role:

  • As a Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver structured, engaging maths lessons that support pupils' understanding, problem-solving skills and exam preparation.
  • You will work closely with maths departments and pastoral teams to help pupils progress academically and remain motivated in the classroom.
  • Schools are looking for teachers who can maintain high expectations while creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality Maths lessons across KS3/4
  • Teaching core maths topics in line with curriculum requirements
  • Preparing pupils for exams through effective revision and assessment
  • Tracking, assessing and reporting on pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, focused and inclusive classroom environment
  • Managing behaviour in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with subject colleagues and pastoral teams

  • Reliable, proactive and committed to high teaching standards
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and secondary school policies
