Start Date - Monday 25th of May 2026

Contract Type - Full-time, Long-term

Pay - £110-£130 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)

Hours - Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:30pm

About the School:

We are recruiting for a confident Level 3 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH provision in Manchester, supporting secondary-aged pupils. The school offers an alternative to mainstream education for learners who need consistency, emotional support and strong relationships to thrive.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis, offering both emotional and academic support
  • Confidently lead and manage classrooms
  • Deliver engaging, tailored lesson plans
  • Maintain regular communication with other staff members and third party agencies to monitor progress

What we are looking for:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant/Mentor in a similar PRU or SEMH setting
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Previous experience delivering lesson plans

To be eligible you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
