Prospero Teaching is seeking to recruit hardworking and committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Newton-le-Willows. We currently have an opportunity for an inspirational and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join a hardworking and committed team of professionals. We are looking for a committed, creative and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is able to consistently demonstrate good classroom practice. You will join our friendly team, be enthusiastic, committed to raising standards, have high expectations and will work alongside a conscientious, hardworking and welcoming team. The right person for this role will: have experience of supporting children in a school environment; have proven skills that will contribute to classroom practice; be a reflective and flexible practitioner; have high expectations for behaviour and learning; have excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents; have a positive mindset and approach to challenge. JOB DETAILS: Location – Newton-le-Willows Position – Level 2 Teaching Assistant Type of work – Across the primary phase (unless specified) Contract or position start date- January 2025 Duration – Ongoing Contract or position end date – Ongoing Contract type – Temporary Full time/part time – Full time Minimum rate of pay – Negotiable Hours – 8:30 am – 3:30pm : Mon – Fri (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants (or recognised equivalent qualification) Experience in schools preferred Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.
