As an SEMH Teacher, you will:
- Deliver SEMH-focused teaching - Provide high-quality, personalised lessons that support pupils with complex needs.
- Plan and differentiate learning - Create engaging, therapeutic lessons aligned with EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with the wider team - Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure a consistent, holistic approach.
- Support emotional and social development - Promote resilience, self-regulation, and positive relationships through a calm, restorative approach.
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience in SEMH or behaviour support - Experience in SEMH, PRU, alternative provision, or strong SEN/behaviour experience in mainstream.
- Calm and resilient practice - Ability to remain consistent, empathetic, and supportive in challenging situations.
- Passion for inclusive education - Commitment to ensuring every child makes progress, no matter their starting point.
- Adaptable teaching methods - Skilled in delivering personalised learning that meets diverse emotional and academic needs.
To be eligible, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
- Provide two child-related references.
