Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and motivated Secondary Unqualified Teachers to work in schools across the Fareham area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong classroom experience who are looking to progress their career within education and gain valuable teaching experience in secondary schools.

As a Secondary Unqualified Teacher, you will lead classes, deliver pre-planned lessons, support student progress, and maintain a positive learning environment. We are keen to hear from experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, tutors, sports coaches, youth workers, graduates, and aspiring teachers who are confident working with young people. This role provides an excellent pathway into teaching while allowing you to make a positive impact on students' learning and development.

The Role:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of secondary subjects
  • Lead classes independently and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support students in completing lesson tasks and achieving learning objectives
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
  • Adapt your approach to meet different learning needs
  • Monitor student engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Support students' academic progress and participation
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting
  • Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Coach, or similar role desirable
  • Confident managing groups of students independently
  • Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Passionate about supporting young people and education
  • Able to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Graduates and aspiring teachers encouraged to apply

Contract Details:

  • Position: Secondary Unqualified Teacher
  • Location: Fareham
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Working Pattern: Full-time
  • Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
  • Key Stages: KS3 & KS4

Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

  • Previous classroom experience desirable
  • Experience working with young people essential
  • Safeguarding training can be provided
  • Teacher training aspirations welcomed
