Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in the Fareham area. This role involves stepping into the classroom in the teacher's absence, delivering pre-prepared lesson materials, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task.

You will be responsible for maintaining a structured classroom environment, managing behaviour, and supporting students with their learning. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, youth workers, coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain hands-on classroom experience.

Work is available on a full-time or flexible day-to-day basis depending on your availability.

The Role:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson content across a range of subjects
  • Supervise pupils and maintain classroom routines
  • Manage behaviour in line with school expectations
  • Support students with learning tasks and engagement
  • Cover a variety of subjects as required
  • Provide cover for both pre-planned and short-notice absences
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, etc.)
  • Confident leading a classroom independently
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Calm, adaptable, and professional approach
  • Comfortable covering a range of subjects
  • Graduates and aspiring teachers encouraged to apply

  • Location: Fareham
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Working Pattern: Full-time or day-to-day
  • Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
  • Key Stages: KS3-KS4
