About the Role

Prospero Teaching is excited to announce opportunities for dedicated and passionate graduates to join a secondary school in the Kirkby area. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to inspire students.

Location: Kirkby, L32

Start Date: September 2026

Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term

Working Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Pay: Paid to scale

Responsibilities

  • Behaviour management: Foster a positive learning environment with good behaviour management.
  • Providing emotional support: Offering guidance and support to students who may be dealing with personal issues or stress.
  • Monitoring well-being: Keeping an eye on students' overall well-being and reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff members.
  • Safeguarding: Ensuring the safeguarding procedure is followed when required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers to ensure lessons run smoothly and students thrive academically and socially.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Provide at least two professional references covering at least 24 months/cover the last 2 years.
