Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm for the right candidate

Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time

Are you a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary school for an enthusiastic and resilient Science Teacher (Biology Specialism) to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while working within a supportive and inclusive educational environment.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Biology lessons to secondary-aged students.
  • Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including Autism.
  • Create a positive, structured and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and senior leaders.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience working within a SEND setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology/Science.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service.
  • Ability to start ASAP and commit through the academic year from September.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
