We have a new opportunity for a Year 1 tutor to provide home‑based 1:1 support, with the possibility of moving into public/community spaces as the young person becomes more confident.

About the Role

  • Support a young learner with emotional regulation and identifying early triggers
  • Gradually re‑engage him with learning through staggered, low‑pressure sessions
  • Build trust with a child who has experienced PEX and significant anxiety in school
  • Plan and deliver KS1 curriculum in a calm, structured way
  • Use play‑based approaches, visuals, routines and co‑regulation strategies
  • Support social communication skills (turn‑taking, expressive language, transitions)
  • Help him feel emotionally safe, regulated, and ready to learn
