Prospero Teaching is looking for an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to work in a primary school in Newham, East London. The school is a three-form entry primary school with a supportive leadership team and is providing training for all staff. The position is open to both ECT (early careers teacher) and experienced teachers. Depending on performance at the school, there is a chance that your contract can be extended or potentially receive a permanent contract.

Contract/Position Details

  • Location: Newham, East London.
  • Position: KS1 School Teacher.
  • Type of work: Class Teacher – planning presentations, marking work, parents’ evenings, etc.
  • Start date: February 2026.
  • Duration: 1 term; may be extended.
  • End date (if applicable): end of term 1.
  • Contract type: Temporary.
  • Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; Monday to Friday (term time only).
  • Minimum pay rate: depends on pay scale.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • QTS/ECT or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience teaching KS1 or KS2.
  • Up to date safeguarding training issued in the past year.

Eligibility and Vetting

To be eligible for this role through Prospero, you must have a valid right to work in the UK, hold an enhanced child DBS and be enrolled or willing to enrol onto the DBS update service, and provide two child-related professional references from the past two years.
