Working Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Brief description: Provide 1:1 support for a secondary pupil with ASD in a specialist school setting.

About the school: An independent special school for learners aged 8-20 with autism, severe learning difficulties, and associated challenges. The school offers a nurturing environment with small classes and therapeutic support.

About the role: You will work closely with one pupil in secondary, supporting their learning, communication, and emotional regulation. You’ll assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and help the pupil engage and progress.

We’re looking for a dedicated candidate to:

  • Deliver planned lessons and interventions under teacher guidance
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD
  • Support emotional regulation and engagement
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and therapists

Requirements – The ideal candidate would have:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of SEN, particularly autism and complex needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare
