We are seeking an experienced SEN Tutor to provide one-to-one support for students in Kidsgrove. This role is ideal for educators, teaching assistants, or tutors with experience supporting learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or those working below expected levels. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalised one-to-one tuition in GCSE Maths and English for SEN students.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Support learners in developing core subject knowledge, study skills, and exam confidence.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and consistent learning environment that promotes engagement and progress.
- Track and report on student progress to parents, carers, or relevant professionals.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience working with SEN learners in one-to-one or small group settings.
- Strong knowledge of strategies to support Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEN needs.
- Experience tutoring or teaching Maths and/or English.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable:
- Teaching assistant or similar educational experience.
- Knowledge of differentiated learning and adaptive teaching techniques.
- Familiarity with GCSE curriculum and assessment strategies.
