We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Ipswich seeking a committed Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs and play a vital role in their educational journey.
The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will
- Support pupils across the primary age range, maximum students in class at anytime.
- Work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Provide support for children with additional needs.
- Help to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
- Assist in managing behaviour positively and promoting emotional wellbeing.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment.
- The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who
- Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant with Primary age students.
- Has experience supporting children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and challenging behaviour
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient.
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
- Holds relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN support (desirable but not essential).
