Are you a passionate, resilient, and compassionate educator looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people? An established Alternative Provision in Ipswich, Suffolk is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their supportive and dynamic team.

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will work with small groups of pupils who require additional support due to a range of social, emotional, behavioural, and learning needs. You will plan and deliver bespoke lessons that inspire, engage, and empower young people to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to meet individual needs.
  • Support students with a variety of SEN, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and communication needs.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies and nurture positive relationships.
  • Track and assess pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team, parents, and external agencies.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified Teacher (QTS/QTLS) - applications from ECTs with SEN experience also welcome.
  • Experienced working with SEN/SEMH pupils (school, AP, or PRU experience advantageous).
  • Calm, patient, and resilient, with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Creative in your approach to teaching and committed to inclusive practice.
  • Passionate about helping young people to re-engage with learning.
