The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to provide support across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will help create a positive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom activities.
- Preparing learning materials and resources.
- Encouraging pupil engagement and participation.
- Supporting children with additional learning needs where required.
- Promoting positive behaviour and assisting with classroom management.
- Helping to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, flexible and proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications are advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
