KS5 Tutor
Support Post-16 Learners to Achieve Their Goals
We're looking for a KS5 Tutor to support young people across West Sussex through personalised 1:1 tuition.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide tailored support to learners studying at post-16 level, helping them build confidence, strengthen subject knowledge, and progress towards their educational goals. Learners may be preparing for A-Levels, vocational qualifications, Functional Skills, or other post-16 pathways and often benefit from a flexible approach tailored to their individual needs.
We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:
- Crawley
- Worthing
- Horsham
- Chichester
- Bognor Regis
- Littlehampton
Location: West Sussex
Key Stage: KS5
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: 25- 30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
- Experience supporting learners at KS5/Post-16 level
- Strong knowledge within your subject specialism
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
- Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex
Who You'll Support
You’ll work with young people who may:
- Be studying A-Levels, BTECs, T-Levels, or Functional Skills
- Require alternative educational provision
- Have SEND, EHCPs, or additional learning needs
- Experience anxiety or barriers to education
- Need support preparing for further education, employment, or training
