Job Vacancy: HLTA / Mentor Specialist – SEN Provision
Location : Fareham
Start Date : ASAP
Contract : Full-Time, Permanent
Salary : Β£24,000 – Β£28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role
A specialist SEN provision in Fareham is seeking a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or Mentor Specialist to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver targeted interventions and mentoring for pupils with SEN
  • Support teaching and learning through small group and one-to-one sessions
  • Assist in planning and delivering differentiated lessons
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to reports and reviews

  • Requirements

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent mentoring/SEN experience

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Resilience, patience, and a commitment to inclusive education
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
