Prospero Teaching is looking for a passionate, experienced and qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support the learning of pupils in one of our inspirational SEND Schools in Houghton-le-Spring on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in the Learning Support Department and build positive relationships with pupils to have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development.
About the School: The role is based in an inspirational SEND School setting in Houghton-le-Spring. The School supports pupils across the Secondary School age-range who are working at EYFS and KS1 level. The School has an outstanding supportive culture and Leadership Team, where staff work as a Team within classrooms to provide high standards of support to pupils.
Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Pay - Between £95-120 per day DOE
- Hours - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2027.
- Start Date - September 2026
- Location - Houghton-le-Spring
About the HLTA Role: The role will involve supporting pupils aged 12-13 who are working at EYFS/KS1 level and have a wide range of SEND and challenging behaviour. The role will also involve some planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
