Prospero Teaching is currently working with a secondary school in the Ealing area, West London, who are seeking a dedicated Head of Science to cover a maternity leave starting in September 2026.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • QTS or equivalent essential
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Previous experience within a leadership role or as Head of Department desirable
  • Experience working within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Reliable, professional, and committed

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
