A well-regarded secondary school in Southampton is seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Maths to lead their mathematics department from October half term. This is a full-time leadership role ideal for a strong classroom practitioner with a proven track record of raising attainment and leading teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maths department, driving high standards of teaching and learning
• Develop and implement curriculum plans that inspire and challenge students
• Support and mentor teaching staff within the department
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies for improvement

Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths at secondary level
• Previous leadership or middle management experience
• Strong subject knowledge and curriculum expertise
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
