Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced, passionate and patient Qualified Teacher, with QTS that is looking to step out of a classroom environment. Within this role, you will be working alongside another member of staff to provide support to a small group of young people. These students have ASD, ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

This role is Monday to Friday, 10am – 2pm. You will be supported by a care team that are familiar with the young people. One of your aims will be to support and re-engage a pupil in their learning, offer structure back into their daily routine, continue their educational development and aid their return to school. Patience is a key attribute as these young people may have a prolonged period out of education and their SEMH needs.

Alongside this booking, we can also support with additional hours following the booking to fill out your timetable.

  • Hours are Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm

The desired candidate will have:
  • Experience working with ASD, ADHD & SEMH
  • QTS
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour and disengaged pupils
What we need from you:
  • Hold a right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to complete a new application
  • Provide references to cover the last two years of employment
  • The ability to commit to the young person and work for the duration of the placement
  • QTS qualification
