Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for a fully qualified SEN Primary Class Teacher to join a SEN School in Harrow.
Location: Harrow, Northwest London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term (6 weeks minimum), Full Time, 5 days per week: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: According to your teaching scale
About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a long-term cover position at a specialist SEN school and Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harrow. The role is for a Primary Teacher, with cover needed for a minimum of 6 weeks, which could extend further or lead to permanent opportunities.
This PRU serves students aged 5-16 who are unable to attend mainstream schools and supports a small cohort of 35-36 pupils. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and offers a nurturing environment to meet the diverse needs of its learners. We are seeking passionate and experienced educators to join their team.
What We Are Looking For:
- A qualified primary class teacher with experience working in SEN or SEMH settings
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
- Creative, hands-on approach to engaging and inspiring learners
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and supporting disengaged students
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Child and Adult DBS (Enhanced Disclosure)
- Right to Work in the UK
