Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic and committed History Teacher to join a high-achieving and inclusive secondary school in the London Borough of Harrow from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced History Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to become part of a supportive Humanities department. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right applicant.
The Role

- Contract: Full-time, long-term (with the potential to become permanent)

- Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Contribute to the wider Humanities department and school community.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic achievement.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching History within a UK secondary school.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and effective classroom management.
- Is passionate about inspiring young people and raising educational outcomes.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
- Has the right to work in the UK.
