Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Learning Support Mentors to join a specialist SEN transition centre in Fareham (PO16). The centre supports young people aged 14-19 with SEMH needs and autism, helping them progress into full-time education, apprenticeships, or employment.

  • Location: Fareham (PO16)
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Hours: 08:00-16:00 Full-time
  • Pay Rate: From £14.25 per hour

  • Calm behaviour support - able to remain composed in challenging situations.
  • Strong behaviour management while maintaining a positive, engaging learning environment.
  • Motivational approach to encourage participation and build confidence.
  • Ability to support personal development and promote independence.
  • Caring, patient, and an excellent communicator.
  • Self-reflective with a willingness to learn and show initiative.
  • Experience supporting young people with Autism and/or SEMH.

Requirements

  • To be eligible for this role, you must hold the right to work in the UK.
  • Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
