Do you have a passion for helping young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) thrive in education? A secondary school in Portsmouth is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team. We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants and those with a background in SEN, autism support, or secondary education.
The Role
- Location: Portsmouth
- Position: SEND Autism Spectrum Condition (ASc) Secondary TA
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration / Likely Duration: Ongoing
- Contract type: Long term
- Full time/part time: Full time
- Minimum rate of pay: 140 per day
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm
Experience and Training
- Teaching Assistant qualification (preferable but not essential)
- Previous experience working in a UK School
- Experience working with children in education or in a similar setting
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training can be provided)
To Be Eligible, You Must
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional, child-related references
