Prospero Teaching is seeking calm, compassionate, and reliable SEN Personal Care Assistants to join a specialist primary school in Waterlooville. The school supports pupils across EYFS and primary ages with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, sensory processing differences, communication challenges, learning disabilities, complex medical needs, and barriers to accessing learning.

Key Responsibilities- Providing personalised care and support to pupils with a variety of physical, sensory, and communication needs.
- Assisting children who may experience anxiety, emotional dysregulation, sensory overload, or difficulties with transitions.
- Supporting personal care routines such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility, always promoting dignity and independence.
- Encouraging engagement through play-based, sensory-led, therapeutic, and differentiated activities.
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, safety, and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
- Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, social interaction, and developing life skills.
- Building trusting, consistent relationships using calm, clear, and reassuring communication.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to deliver holistic, child-centred care.

- Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
- Provide professional references covering the last 24 months.
- Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, education, or health & social care or have relevant SEN or personal care experience.
