Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic Secondary Maths Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to a learner in Halton. This is an opportunity for a tutor who can make Maths approachable and engaging while providing structured support based around the learner's individual starting point and targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:1 Maths tuition
- Support KS3 and/or GCSE-level learning
- Identify gaps in mathematical knowledge
- Create engaging and appropriately challenging sessions
- Develop problem-solving and independent learning skills
- Build learner confidence
- Review progress and adapt tuition accordingly
Requirements
- Strong Maths subject knowledge
- Experience teaching or tutoring secondary-aged learners
- GCSE Maths teaching experience desirable
- Ability to explain concepts clearly
- Patient, encouraging and flexible approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
