Prospero Teaching is seeking committed Outreach Tutors to support children and young people throughout Halton who require alternative educational provision.

Working on a 1:1 basis, you'll deliver personalised tuition while helping learners re-engage with education, build resilience and develop the confidence needed to achieve positive outcomes. Many of the students we support have experienced barriers to learning and benefit from a patient, consistent and flexible approach.

Position Details

  • Location: Halton
  • Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

  • Experience working with children or young people on a 1:1 basis
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH or those disengaged from education
  • QTS or equivalent (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

To be eligible, you must:

  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide two professional child-related references
