Prospero Teaching are working with a brilliant PRU in Preston and are looking for a Hair and Beauty Teacher to support some of their students who pick that option. The school is focused around functional skills and more practical subjects, as the students have been excluded from mainstream education and are disengaged from academics.
QTS is a bonus, but at minimum you must have experience teaching, and knowledge around a primary curriculum. These are secondary aged students, and they can display high levels of challenging behaviours. You must be comfortable dealing with this and have strong behaviour management techniques. Experience with SEN (mainly around SEMH, ASD, ADHD) is required due to the needs of the students. Team Teach is advantageous, and you must be willing to undertake the course for this position, which we offer for free.

Role Requirements:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
- Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training (Prospero can provide this training)
