Prospero Teaching are working with a highly regarded independent prep and pre-prep school in Blackheath, South East London, who are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Graduate to join their thriving PE and Sport department from September 2026.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The school has a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality sport and physical education to pupils aged 3-11 years and places sport at the heart of school life. The successful candidate will join a supportive and experienced PE department, working closely with the Head of Sport to deliver an engaging sporting programme across both curriculum and co-curricular activities.

  • Contract Start Date - September 2026
  • Duration / Likely Duration - 1 Academic Year
  • Contract End Date - July 2027
  • Contract Type - Fixed-Term Contract (with potential extension)
  • Full Time/Part Time - Full Time
  • Salary - £20,000 - £23,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
  • Hours - 09:45am - 5:15pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Sports Science Degree, Sport-Related Degree, BTEC Sport or equivalent qualification
  • Coaching experience in a minimum of two sports
  • Passion for sport and physical education
  • Experience working with children is desirable
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Have the Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
  • Provide two professional references
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be willing to undergo all safeguarding and vetting checks required by the school
