POSITION SENCO ABOUT THE SCHOOL Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced SENCO for an inclusive two-form entry Primary School in Abbey Wood, Greenwich. CONTRACT / POSITION DETAILS Location: Abbey Wood, Greenwich · Position: SENCO - Primary School Type of Work: Leading and coordinating SEND provision across the school, managing EHCPs, liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies, monitoring pupil progress, and supporting inclusive teaching and learning practices Start Date: September 2026 End Date: July 2027 Contract Type: Temporary Full time/part time: Full Time Minimum Rate of Pay: From GBP215 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) Minimum 2 years' experience working within a Primary School setting, including experience supporting pupils with SEND Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation Experience managing EHCP processes, annual reviews, and coordinating support for pupils with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and EAL Proven ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff, senior leaders, parents/carers, and external professionals Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills Up-to-date Safeguarding training (within the last year) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service Provide two recent professional references covering the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with an up-to-date CV.
