About the school: A specialist independent school for pupils aged 4-18 with SEND including ASD, SEMH, and ADHD. The school offers tailored learning pathways, therapeutic support, and small class sizes.
About the role: You will plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons across core subjects to students with EHCPs, using trauma-informed approaches and differentiated strategies.
We’re looking for a dedicated candidate to:
- Deliver engaging, adaptive lessons for SEN learners
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Support students’ social and emotional development
- Work closely with the SENCO and therapy team
- Track progress and contribute to EHCP reviews
Requirements:
- QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
- Experience in SEN, SEMH or alternative provisions
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Passion for inclusive education
The ideal candidate would have:
- Experience with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs
- An understanding of trauma-informed practices
- Flexibility to teach across different key stages
- A nurturing, resilient approach to teaching
